Anne's Story
Anne moved from a suburban setting to a Ferrisburgh, Vermont farm to fulfill a lifelong dream-she always wanted to grow flowers on a flower farm. Previous to her move to Vermont, she worked as a florist, purchasing both local and Ecuadorian flowers, as well as gift items made in China. Concerns about fair trade and non-organic products coming from countries outside of the U.S. led her to make some changes. Currently, Anne uses mostly her own stock and purchases very little from outside sources. As she developes the resources of her new farm, all of the components of her work will be grown and assembled on site. Anne is committed to growing more and more of her own flowers for her products and is now collecting grapevines from the area as well. We support Anne's creative endeavors. Anne's flower arrangements are strikingly vivid and colorful. During the cold months of winter, they remind us here at Dirt Works and New England Natural that yes, we will have flowers again come springtime. Anne's arrangments are naturally grown and dried on her property in Ferrisburg, Vermont. The slow drying process and care taken in their creation ensure that they hold their color and shape for a very long time. We can ship them to you, wherever you are. They make terrific gift items as well. |
